Hi there!

Enzo Federico here.

I live in Squamish, the Outdoor Recreation Capital of Canada.  We’re conveniently located about halfway between Vancouver and Whistler. These are the Host City and Host Mountain Resort, respectively, of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.

As I write this, we’re about a month away from the start of the Games. The world has already begun to arrive, and the anticipation is building.

I’m getting pretty excited about the big party that’s coming to town along with the world-class athletes and competition. I’m even more excited to be a part of the big show, in my own very small way. I am one of about 25,000 volunteers that are helping to make sure we put our best foot forward for our visitors from all over the globe. My role is that of Accreditation Operator in the Whistler Uniform and Accreditation Centre, and I’ll have shifts both before and during the Games.

I thought I would use this blog to record my observations (including pictures and video) of the Games from a volunteer’s perspective. I will also have the opportunity to attend a couple of events myself, so will offer my perspective on those as well.
